Soapbox Derby: Winter Brews Festival & SF Beer Week (January 28, 2010)

Winter Brew Festival
The First Annual Winter Brews Festival is taking place at Oakland’s Linden St. Brewery this Saturday, January 30th (1-8pm).  It is being put on by East Bay craft beer radio company - The Brewing Network.  It features beers from 37 MicroBreweries with most being from the Bay Area and California, along with live music and food from Homebrew Chef Sean Paxton. Soapbox Derby talks with Brewing Network Co-Founder Justin “Brewcaster J” Crossley, and Brewing Network Producer Chad Moshier about the event and the Brewing Network.

Following on its heals is SF Beer Week, which begins February 5th.  Bay Area Beer Educator, Cicerone, and Trappist pourer, Nicole Erny gives us a run down of beer festival strategy and Beer Week spots / events you can’t miss.
